"Five-star feel" gained from correct bedding

A feeling of luxury can be gained from a bed this winter through the use of bedding to create a boutique hotel-style suite, it has been stated.

Bedding expert Chrissie Rucker told the Daily Mail that people can get a "beautifully tailored" look to their place of rest, with fitted sheets giving a person''s bedroom a "five-star feel".

She continues: "A top sheet with a duvet or blankets will give the bed a beautifully tailored finish, and you won''t have to wash the duvet cover quite as often."

A cashmere throw is also a great way to add glamour for those willing to invest a little more money into luxury, with eiderdown also giving a more tired-out bed a "sumptuous cocoon feeling", Ms Rucker added.

Bedding expert Vikram Kuamr recommended satin to buyers looking for an extravagant material to cover their beds in, citing it as a favourite of many big spenders and high-end hotels and mansions.
