Choosing the right bed?
Comfort is very subjective. Some people like to feel as though they are sinking into their bed whilst others prefer to lie on the surface. Because of this we don't give our beds a firmness rating like some manufacturers. We want bed-buyers to go into stores and give our beds a try - after all you are going to be spending up to 8 hours a night in your bed so there is no substitute to trying before you buy and selecting the right one for you. There are lots of different 'feels' around but with over 50 beds in our collection each made with a different fillings ranging from our MiracoilTM Spring System to our exclusive new Miragel bed we are certain that we will have a bed that's comfortable and provides you with the right level of support.

Can I purchase a new mattress to use on an existing base?
All Silentnight mattresses are designed and manufactured for use with a Silentnight Beds base. Under the terms of our 5 year guarantee, use of a mattress with a base for which it is not designed will render the guarantee void. For full details of our 5 year guarantee please click here.

Is it possible to deliver Silentnight Beds products outside of the United Kingdom?
Silentnight Beds only manufacture and deliver to stores within the UK.

What is the difference between a Miracoil® Spring System Mattress and a Pocket Spring Mattress?
Silentnights secret to a great night’s sleep is the unique Miracoil® spring system - a continuous coil of wire made up into twice as many springs as a conventional system. The springs run head to toe ensuring body weight is distributed up and down the bed, giving you and your partner the support you need despite differences in size or weight. Click here for further details.

Pocket Sprung mattresses feature rows of individual pocketed lightweight springs that move independently and mould to the shape of your body. Mattresses featuring pocket springs are available with a variety of different spring counts for different levels of comfort and support.

Silentnight Beds do not currently produce pocket spring products, but they are available to purchase from our sister companies - Rest Assured, Pocket Spring Bed Co, and Sealy. For links to these websites please click here

I have purchased a rolled up mattress, can it be re-rolled?
The Miratex™ mattresses have been rolled using special machinery. Once the mattress has regained its original shape it will not be possible to re-roll it again.

How long should I leave a mattress after unrolling before it can be used?
Once you have unrolled your new mattress, please place on a bed in a warm room for 24 hours before use. After this time the mattress will fully regain its normal shape. Please note that recovery time will be faster when placed in a warm environment.

My Miratex™ mattress smells, is this normal?
Some residual foam odour may be apparent on removing your new foam mattress from its packaging. This is quite normal and not a cause for concern. Please give the mattress time to air by leaving it uncovered in a well ventilated room for several hours before use.

Why does my new Miragel® topper seem to have shrunk?
Due to the physical properties of Miragel® you may find that when the topper is unrolled it has experienced a degree of shrinkage. This is quite normal and if left flat for a few hours it will expand back to its original shape.

Does Miragel® require any special handling?
To retain the full comfort and support offered by Miragel® please ensure when you turn or move the topper it is rolled and never bent or folded. Bending the topper will damage the fillings and will ultimately reduce the life of the product and invalidate the product guarantee.
